Adult Correctional Services

For over four decades, CRJ’s Adult Correctional Services Department has been providing residential and community reentry programs for men and women who are currently involved, or have been involved, with the Federal, State and County correctional systems and Parole and Probation agencies. The department serves more than 1,400 men and women annually as they make their transition from incarceration to the community.

In keeping with CRJ’s mission, the department assists our clients as they reenter our communities. We help them engage in lifestyle changes which do not involve drugs, gangs or crime; in which they can be contributing family members and productive citizens. We focus on public safety by working to instill personal and community responsibility in our clients, we also advocate for the elimination of barriers to their reentry in the areas of housing, employment and social services. We try to be good neighbors by participating in neighborhood activities, community service projects, and other events close to our programs. The Adult Department work to ensure that all services provided adhere to the principles of evidence-based practice, that is, services that are focused on defined outcomes, current research, and measurable standards. We are proud to demonstrate on a daily basis, the Mission, Values, and Treatment Culture of CRJ.

Our three adult programs, Brooke House, McGrath House and Coolidge House, provide comprehensive services and supports that include intensive case management and transitional housing focused on the many difficult and complex reentry issues ex-offenders face. These include: counseling, obtaining identification documents, housing, employment, substance abuse treatment, health care, family reunification, and forming a support network that will reinforce their transition and continued success in the community.
