“Who am I?” by Heather S.

A girl who has many talents
Yet expresses few
A shy girl who sits by herself.
That’s who I am.
A young lady who still holds fast
To her inner child, who she seems to be losing—
Only from having to grow up too fast.
That’s who I am.
A young woman who has loved openly
Only to be scorned
and made to pay the ultimate price.
That’s who I am.
A woman who fights back tears
Of sorrow for those she’s lost;
A wearer of masks.
That’s who I am.
A woman who will overcome many wrongs
Trying to make everything perfect and right,
Just to be able to move on with life.
That’s who I am.
A woman of strength and courage,
Holding her head high.
She takes charge of her life.
That’s who I am.
A woman who cares and loves quickly
She wears her heart on her sleeve,
Exposing herself to unknown emotion.
That’s who I am.
A woman of compassion.
A woman brave of heart.
A woman who fights for what she wants.
That’s who I am.
All that she was
All that she is and will become,
Is wrapped up into one heart, one body, one soul
Who I call…
ME!

Life Journey – by Frank J.

So many years have slipped by
So many dreams have lived and died
So many thoughts you may ignore
Life Journey
You feel the pain, but you can’t cry
You feel alone, among the crowd
You ask yourself “Why?”
Life Journey
You talk to yourself, when no one is around
You ask yourself, is this fair?
You think you can’t go on “but”
Life Journey
Time will fly before your eyes
Time, time, time, “What” shall I do?
Go……and don’t look back!
Life Journey
It’s not a destination, it’s a journey.
The people we meet shape
Our lives and help us
Discover the best in ourselves!
So here is the life journey in progress,
