CRJ's John Bergman Contributing to His Field around the World

This year he also will be writing a chapter for The Sex Offender, Volume 7, edited by Dr. Barbara Schwartz for Civic Press. The projected title of the chapter is "Neuropsych and Experiential Approaches to Sex Offender Treatment, a Comparison between Melbourne and Massachusetts". The book will be in print in 2011.

John is editing the book Neuroscience and the Brain: Working with Young Persons Who Are Victims and Perpetrators of Sexual Abuse with Robert E. Longo, Kevin Creeden and David Prescott for NEARI PRESS which is expected to be released in 2011.

In 2010, John will be involved in the following conferences:

At the National Adolescent Perpetration Network 25th Annual Conference, February 20, 21, 22, 2010 John presented a pre-conference workshop with Kevin Creeden and Rob Longo, on "Neuroscience and the Brain: Working with Perpetrators and Victims of Sexual Abuse."

In March, John has accepted an invitation to present master class in drama therapy to graduate students of Heerlen University in Holland and to present latest research from the Wendell Residence/CSMA to
KenVaK Research Centre for the Arts Therapies.

At the MASOC and MATSA 12th Annual Joint Conference on APRIL 7, 8 & 9, 2010 John will be presenting a workshop on "The Drama of Attachment and the Tragedy of Trauma – Using Experiential Brain-Based Techniques to Attune and to Heal" with Travis Merrell.


At the same conference he is co-presenting a workshop with CSMA's other Senior Clinician Terry Burch entitled "Make A Brain Based Trauma/Attachment Program! For Who? Developmentally Delayed Clients! Where? In A Treatment Milieu In Massachusetts! When? Now! HOW?"
