Residential Counselor Job Summary:

Responsible for providing support services to individuals residing in a six-bed community home for youth from 18 to 22 years of age.

Residential Counselor duties include but are not limited to:

1. implements activities of daily living, individual service plan (isp) objectives, and behavior plans.
2. involves individuals in social/recreational activities
3. involves individuals in functional skill development
4. Promotes a high quality of living in all areas including medication administration, meal preparation, housekeeping, personal hygiene, and leisure/recreation.
5. Engages in crisis interventions when necessary
5. Attend staff/prorgram meetings
7. etc.

Qualifications include:

High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in Residential Setting
Experience with system-involved youth
Valid Driver's License
Fluency in spoken Spanish desirable

New employees are trained and expected to receive certifications in:
First Aid, CPR, PAC, MAP, Fire Safety, OSHA, Human Rights Training
